Black History Month Celebrates Quvenzhane Wallis!

Talk about a girl on fire, Quvenzhane Wallis is making history with her stellar performance in the critically acclaimed film Beasts of the Southern Wild . Born August 28, 2003 in Humoa, Louisiana, Quvenzhane is now the youngest person ever to be nominated for lead actress at the Academy Awards. Nicknamed "Nazie," this pint-sized actress who's barely a Tween, has a ton of talent. Quvenzhane was just 5 years old when she auditioned for her first acting job but she had to lie about her age. She said she was 6 years old because that is the minimum age required to be considered.
